My Smores Brownie Pie, is made up of a graham cracker crust, a brownie layer topped with Hershey’s chocolate bars and finally a marshmallow layer.
What to buy:
for the crust:
- 12 graham crackers or approximately 1 and 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1/3 cup sugar
for the brownie layer:
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup flour
- 2 Hershey’s chocolate bars
- 20-25 marshmallows
What to do:
to make the crust:
- using a food processor or blender, pulverize graham crackers into fine crumbs
- pour crumbs into a medium bowl and mix with melted butter and sugar
- press into an ungreased 9 inch pie dish
to make the brownie layer:
- preheat oven to 350 degrees
- mix oil and sugar until well blended
- add eggs and vanilla; stir until blended
- mix all dry ingredients in a separate bowl
- stir dry ingredients into the oil mixture
- pour into graham cracker crust
- top with hershey bar pieces
- bake for 20 minutes or until the middle is beginning to set
- remove from the oven and top with marshmallows
- return to the oven and continue to bake for an additional 3 minutes to melt the marshmallows
- remove from the oven and allow to cool to room temperature before slicing.
- serve at room temperature or reheated slightly if you like for 20-30 seconds in the microwave
