Molten Peanut Butter Chocolate Cake


This decadent cake is a sister recipe to one I’ve posted before: 6-Ingredient Gooey Brownie Pudding but this one has peanut butter for all of you PB lovers.   You can’t go wrong with peanut butter and chocolate!  Serve with ice-cream, whipped cream or just break out a couple of spoons and enjoy with a glass of cold milk.

What to buy:

  • 1 stick unsalted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup  semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2  cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups confectioners’ sugar, plus more for dusting (optional)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

What to do:

  • preheat the oven to 400 degrees
  • combine the butter, peanut butter, salt, cinnamon and chocolate in a saucepan over low heat, stirring frequently until melted and smooth
  • mix  flour, confectioners’ sugar, eggs and vanilla in a bowl until creamy and whisk in the melted chocolate mixture
  • bake 8-10 minutes, removing from oven when the sides of the cake are firm but the center is soft

  1. I made this tonight–so amazing! I had to cook it for about fifteen minutes to get the right consistency, but the peanut butter plus chocolate with a hint of cinnamon was incredible!
