Spiced Peanuts

Love those spiced nuts from Whole Foods but balk at the price? Me too, so I decided to make my own and it is super easy and will make your kitchen smell wonderful.  These are great served alone with a cold beer or can be served on top of a salad.  You can adjust the spices according to your tastes and add in your favorites – rosemary would be divine.

To buy:

  • 1 pound salted peanuts
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 2 teaspoons brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons chili
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder

What to do:

  • add olive oil to a skillet over medium heat and add peanuts and spices, stirring to coat the nuts
  • cook for 8-10 minutes until peanuts are warm and golden brown
  • drain plate over a paper towel, sprinkle with sea salt if they aren’t salty enough for you
